  Developped regions: water supply data

Water supply coverage was a 100% in 1990 and seems to have slightly decreased in 2004 (99%), mainly due to a deterioration of the situation in rural areas (-4%). The relatively small sample size in these areas requires some precaution in any conclusion being drawn.

In terms of numbers, there are 69 million more people who live in these regions. All urban dwellers seem to have gained access to adequate water supply between 1990 and 2004.
